Closed: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day


  Special Holy Week Hours:

Mission Basilica Gift Shop

The Mission Basilica of San Buenaventura Gift Shop offers a wide variety of Catholic/Christian devotional, gift, seasonal and collectible items for sale.

Some of our most popular items are those relating to the history of the Mission and California Missions in general.


To make it easier for students and others interested in these materials, we are happy to fulfill mailed in orders.The following items are our most popular requests. ALL Tours begin at the Mission Basilica Gift Shop

SELF-GUIDED TOUR:


DAILY: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This tour is perfect for those who would like to visit at their own pace.

Self-guided tour includes:

  • The Museum
  • 30-minute Video
  • Garden and Grotto
  • Mission Basilica Church
  • Michelangelo’s Pietà
  • 1st & 2nd Class Relics (including the TRUE CROSS of Jesus)
  • Padre's Burial and Settling Tank.
Individual Rates: 

   Adults (18-64):     $8.00

   Seniors (65+):      $5.00

   Military (w/ID):     $5.00

   Youth (5-17):        $3.00

   Children (0-4):     FREE

**There is no admission fee for scheduled Masses or Liturgies.

PRIVATE tours:

School Tours:

    The Mission Basilica of San Buenaventura docents offer 4th grade school tours during the school year.

Main Street 200-600 blocks CLOSED.

Access to the Mission upper parking lot from Palm Street is via Santa Clara Street and Poli Street. Access to the lower parking lot on Main Street on weekends for Mass, funerals and weddings is via Ventura Avenue or the Museum of Ventura County parking lot.


Wheelchair Access: The Gift Shop has limited access for wheelchair users. Wheelchair users have access to the Gift Shop counter via the Main Street entrance and should request assistance to the Mission Basilica museum, garden and church via a gated alley within twenty feet of the Gift Shop entrance. We have three disabled parking spaces in the upper lot behind the Mission.  Please call the Gift Shop in advance for further details.  the Mission.


Hearing & Sight Impaired: Mission Basilica San Buenaventura is unable to provide staff or volunteer docents to meet the needs of the hearing or sight impaired persons or other special needs. Schools and groups booking tours are requested to provide services to meet the needs of the hearing or sight impaired persons or other special needs.
